So i just switched my front stage to active and was starting to playing with all my settings when i hit a little bump on the road and i hear a loud crack/pop from my tweets and possibly mids too.

Its been doing it several times a day, only at volume 30 or higher. Seems to only happen when i make hard turns or bumps(railroads/potholes/ect..). Ive never heard it until just now but the only wiring that changed was my inside my doors and i crimped and electrical taped the crap out them.

On my mid woofer, the negative tag is very small. So i just smushed a normal female connector to fit it tight. Theres plenty of slack, the connector couldnt be it could it???

I lose no power when this happens, it will only be one or two pops. Almost sounds like a rock hitting your windshield....

he did not mess with the grounds.

i bet his terminals are moving on the speakers.

i had popping on my rf 6.9 i had in the back.

it was the wire terminals moving. it had contact until i went over a bump.

shitt it cab be anything but i think its the contact of the terminals.

pull a speaker that pops and move the wire. that will tell you .

Had something like that happen to me. The push terminals had a rubber boot around the female part and it was a ***** to get to as it was. Not to mention very little room and EVERYTHING was sharp as hell. It was about like sticking your arm into a bucket of razor blades. Later I found out that the male terminal on the speaker slid between the rubber boot and female spade. It was held on tight enough to think it was connected like it should. Months later I got pissed and started to pull the speakers, wire, and everything else out and was going to set it all on fire. NVH and time stretched the boot and the wire had come off completely and was just hanging there. Replaced 2ndifferent hu's, sent an amp back for replacement under warranty, did the big 3 in 4awg and again with 1/0, moved power/ground/rca's way too many times, and tried about 3 different rca's. The only thing I didn't do was check at the actual speaker. Cause it's never that simple right? It was the fix for my noise. I did manage to pick up a loud whining noise coming from the front passenger side. The weird thing is the noise goes away when my gf gets out.

Sent from my Motorola 2950 Special Edition 3w.

Something lose somewhere. Trace all your wires for mids/highs including RCA's
I had the same problem, and my RCA's had just rattled loose from my mids/highs amp
good point..

about 8 months ago i had my rca's pulling out.

but it did not make noise, it just kept turning on and off..lol

i was thinking my amp was going bad, looked back and seen the rca almost out.

Yeah, that problem was driving me nuts because it was intermittent
