i have a sony xplod 600 watt 4 channel amp it is the xm zr604 model. i currenty have it hooked up to a vr 3 sub i got for free from a buddy. i think the sub only cost like $20 at walmart:laugh://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif and i would like to get a better sub

i am looking at the rockford fostgate punch series subs and i would like to no wich one i could run the best?

the p1 is 150 watts rms

the p2 is 250 rms

the p3 is 500 rms

i am not sure what my amps rms is but in the manual it shows a pic of bridging the two rear channels and running a sub.

all it says it 1 channel at 300w at 4 ohm. i dont no if this is the rms though?

so basicly what is the best sub i could run with this amp?

also if there are subs that my amp could run that are better than the fostgates in the $100-$150 range i would like to no about them

thanks:)

Sony is CEA 2006 compliant so I would venture to guess it more than likely does rated power. A good little sub for it IF you can build a box is a SSA DCON 12" single 4 ohm voice coil.. Only thing is in a bridged config you would be limited to a single vc sub and limited power.

ok thanks but this is the only amp i can afford right now so i will have to make it work. so u think if it only make 150 rms i could run the punch p1?

This. I honestly think you're better off keeping what you have for now. At least until you have a bigger budget and it gives you time to do some research on brands you may never have heard and learn of all the possibilities. That way when you have the money, you'll truly be satisfied with the purchase.
