Sony & Sirius Radio Problem - Help!

I have a new Sony CDX-GT610UI head unit with an SIR-SNY1 Sirius radio adaptor.

When I scroll through the source menu, when I go to try and bring up satellite radio, the display says "SR1", holds for 10- 15 seconds then the unit powers itself down. When I power back up the unit plays Sat radio just fine. This is only for Sat radio, "tuner", "aux", "IPOD", USB are all fine.

To troubleshoot I have done the following:

1. Checked connections

2. Replaced cables

3. Tried reset on head unit (numerous times)

4. Reset Sat Radio unit

5. Tried Sat radio unit in another car (worked fine)

6. Called Sony tech support (they were useless).

Can anyone help me???
