Sonotube enclosure for jl audio 12w7?

I have 2 jl audio 12w7's and am making 2 sonotube enclosures for them. What do you guys think about sonotube enclosures to start with? I had a cerwin vega stroker in one and it pounded! Also does 1.75ft3 sound good tuned at 32hz for these subs? The enclosure size is after all displacements!
