it wont even hurt anything, its like 1/4" long slit. id leave it

man i had a tiny slit, and although the perofrmance didnt suffer, i could here it(in a suv) and theres a potential for it to get worst.

what sucks is that u did a nice job on the box, and the sub was barly used. ive been in that boat and it sucks. the shop i got my MTX from just gave me another, u might no be so lucky

the beauty of the W7 however, is that u can unclip the suround to fix it from the back side. good luck with the repair. tell your bud if this dosnt fix it, he owes u a sub, and if it does, he owes u a case of beer

yeah i didnt buy it from a shop i bought it from a a guy on here so no good there, and thanks for the compliment on the box. I cant make him pay for it he is a good friend i let him use my ride and i didnt bolt the box down. So its a lack on both parties here.. Yeah im not letting him touch anything in my car ever again, so he isnt fixing anything.. lol..
