Any need to knows and any tips for starters, like what to look for, what to do/not to do, etc. Anything would be appreciated. Right now i have a system kind of frankenstined together, not too good. I'll post what i have if you guys are interested in a while but for now im looking to get some smarts so i know what to go buy instead of having to go through friends. use high quality rca cables, use good ground spots with bare metal, leave plenty of slack with your wiring since you never know when you might end up taking it apart again, fuse all power wires, set your gains properly, and never half azz, you'll end up paying for it in the future, so if you're gonna do it, do it right!

also, when choosing equipment, utilize the search function and do your homework, read up on reviews and find out what works best for you, it's best to research it out, never buy stuff on a whim unless you know what you're getting into.

yeah cuz right now i have a newer fosgate p2 i believe, and a 800w pioneer wired together and put into a 800watt pioneer amp... the way my buddy did it was wire one sub tot he other and then the other sub wired to the amp...it sounds decent, NOTHING special though, might get another amp to power the fosgate so i can power the pioneer with its own amp

ahh I wouldn't run two different subs together, that's just my preference, and I don't think too many others on this board would either lol, if you really want to get into audio just stick around here for a while, read, and chime in on the discussions...

so ya think i should probably take that fosgate out? and just run the pioneer with the amp? and wait for an amp for the fosgate? i mean yeah i really love car audio i just dont know much about it, cant get enough bass is the way i go lol, i might be getting a set of some nice memphis' from my cousin but thats a road away so im living with what i got now

well if your happy with it leave it alone, I personally would not run two different kinds of subs, I'd either do one only or two of the same.

Knukonceptz has really good stuff but there online, otherwise the Scosche wiring kit from wally world would do for now.
