Somethings not right?? Help

ac voltage at the power terminals is 30.4.. if u meant speaker terminal then 0.
30 volts AC at the power terminals? That should be DC and only about 12-15 volts.

If you can play a test tone and read the AC voltage at the speaker outputs of the amp, that would give us an idea of the power your amp is producing.

DC voltage on the inputs is 14.1 ACV is 30... speaker inputs have zero ACV during tones.

Is there a way to see if the rca's are sending a signal?

if you get sound then you have voltage going through your amp and your speaker wires to your sub(s)...
Is that not what I want? LOL.. They are tweets and mids not subs lol

not sure, but i once had a similar issue when only one of the rca's had tore and was sounding like ****. if you have any spare rca's try taking out your deck and just run the rca's from there to your amp and see if it goes away.

No spare rca's lying around both sets that I am using are brand new as in I just installed 1 week ago..

Ok here is all I know...

when amp is on power input volated is 14.1 - 30.1 ACV

when amp is on speaker inputs have zero acv checked at 750 and 200 the only setting my meter has for ACV.

All speaker terminal read around 2.o load on each channel.

I do have soundf but its ver low with hu volume at 50-70 gain on amp half way and I have 5v preamps. I mean its like a stock radio on 5 out of 50 volume.

Never had an issue like this before.

If they are mids and highs and you have a crossover, you need to make sure you are using the right tone. (50hz won't make it through most high pass crossovers) Use a 1k tone for the highs.

You are at the point where you need to verify that your RCA's are sending a good signal into the amp. Most people don't have a lot of test equipment around but if you have something like an ipod with an adapter cord with rca's on one end, you could try playing your ipod through your amp. (to test the amp)

Maybe even just connect your earbuds from your ipod to the rca's by hand and listen to the RCa output that way to test the rca output. (Just touch the tip of the plug to the center conductor of one of your RCA's and the portion of the shaft farthest from the tip to the outer part of your RCA cord.

Be careful not to short the RCA cord with your deck playing at a high volume. It *could damage your HU.

I am running active via the HU and all crossovers are set properly. I used focals test cd to test acv. I guess I will just go to the Mart and grab a crappy pair of rca's just to see if somethng is wrong with my current rca's. If that changes nothing then I am all out of ideas. I am one of the remaing few that actually dnt have an ipod LOL

you cant get an accurate reading for resistance on any load when it is connected to an amp or anything else. if teh subs meter properly when disconnected from the amp then they are wired properly at that point. the resistance will flutter when the subs are moving aka when the amp is on wether music is playing or not. your dc voltage seems right, ac volts will differ based on amp and impedance rise.
