yeah.. i could wait and save up.. but i just want something that will sound pretty good SQ/SPL... then when i have alittle money saved up was gonna get a XXX later on... i was told to build a box.. but cost of wood and carpet all that seems like it would be cheaper to buy a cheap box..

fit your amp and stuff- go to a car audio store and ask them if you can try a few different boxes? if your amp is in it only takes seconds to switch the box and you will be able to try different ones and decide what kinda sound you like!

Actually, the Dual amp I have isn't so bad.

^ That's the only reason I bought it. Well, that and it was less than a hundred bucks. I planned on returning it, but to be truthful, it's kickin' ***.

I let people listen to my setup, and they're continually impressed;

My girlfriend hates it, it's too loud.

Just goes to show, a proper setup can be quite loud @ 400 watts.

I would get a single decent 12" in the price range of around 80 bucks, then build a ported box for it, 30 bucks. Plus wiring, another 30 bucks. Youve got a system for less than $150.

i sheet of wood cost $20. the cost of screws and glue can't be more then $10. plus the quality of the box will be better then prefab, and you can build the box to the subs specs and it will sound better.

I have a new plan been looking at the 2005 Pioneer TS-W306C they're 12 inch and i can get two of them for around 135 bucks brand new.. think if i put those in a ported box with a 600 watt amp they would sound good?
