(SAN FRANCISCO) - A car thief in California turned up to court to appear in front of a judge in a another stolen vehicle!
The 37-year-old hairstylist from San Francisco was appearing in court charged with stealing a $125,000 Porsche Carrera, but his chosen transport to the courthouse was a stolen Lexus SUV.
Bystanders alerted police after they noticed that several dogs had been left in the car.
Police then conducted a search for the owner and discovered it had been stolen.
Back in the courthouse, the thief was convicted of the earlier theft of the Porsche from a home in San Anselmo.
Unaware of the activity outside, he returned to the Lexus only to be charged again with animal cruelty and receiving stolen property!
