Okay when I start up the car at night (Doe's not do it during the day) and I play my system at full volume there is some belt under my hood that just screams so loud that it sounds exactly like a tire screech and it keeps on screeching until I lower the volume of my system down. Could this be a loose alternator belt? what could be wrong?

well if it's truly only when you crank the system it's the alt... does it happen at idle with the stereo cranked...

ohh and it prob happens at night b/c it's colder

if it's not truly related to the stereo's volume and power draw I'd suspect the water pump and not a belt...

does it change with RPM?

if it didn't do it before and you got the belt changed and now it does it...

give you one guess what it is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

In my case, yes. At lower RPM's there's a high pitched squeal once in a while, but once you get going at higher RPM's it goes away.
100% my fault for using the stock alt.
I doubt that is a belt, it's either a water pump or your alt pulley.... what kind of car?
