You know....there seems to be quite a demand for the old style solo's. Almost everyone seemed to like them. Any chance you could take 3.56Max's idea of releasing an updated Solo Classic to the powers that be?

I also had a pair of 12L7's and a KX1200.1 (I even had a strapped pair for a little while also).

LOL....yeah, a little more power handling and a little more displacement, keep SQ the same (if not better), but they sounded great to begin with. Stick with the small box theme.

i had a 12" solo d...i could have swore it was rated at 600 rms.

600rms in a 0.66 cu'ft box, 425 higher volume (0.8+)

i had mine in .88 box and fed it like 700 rms for a loong time. now its stuffed behind the seat in my friends pickup. man those things could take abuse.

had a zr360 on mine at one point, then added another 12d and another zr360- then sold a set and ran a single 12 off a zr600.....loved those subs-the orig small sealed do it all woofer

Solo's are no doubt good subs. A little to main stream for me though. Everyone around here's like, "yea I'm getting the squar kickers and then i'll kill everyone" Gets old after a while especially when I FEEL i'm running a better product. My IA LI IMO is both louder and cleaner sounding and cheaper then the L7. I'm not denouncing them at all, just saying as always, there is better (IMO) out there for less...

Kicker makes good stuff, but like i said before, to mainstream for my tastes...

I had an 8" off 350 watts in my older truck, years back...sounded awesome...

new ones are way louder imo.

loud does not matter to me so much as depth and clarity.
