solo x vs. btl

ive heard 12 and 18" solo x's, i think my mts have better SQ than them, but i still liked the solo x's.

i still wanna hear some btl's

Well I havent heard and MT ouside of an SPL install but I have heard SoloX's that dont sound half bad.

I havent even seen a BTL.
But I was throughly impressed with the SoloX. The output of the thing was amazing.

The BTL is sapposed to be above and beyond the MT which means it is deffanitely fair game for the SoloX.

Buy both, do a drop in comparison (sort of) and sell the one which performs the worst.

first of all, even if the Fi.btl was any different than the RE MT... if would NOT just MAKE it fair game for the SOLO-x.

second of all,... there is no linear progression four a driver in the way you see. You're trying to say…”because the BTL is "supposed" to an improvement over the MT, it will make it comparable to he solo-x which was "supposed" to be better than MT”

Most important concept of the day: IS NO BETTER!!!

third. The solo-x still has a WAY larger motor than the RE MT and fi btl that for all I can tell, are the same motor and the T/S look the same too. :\

So even if there was this miraculous improvement it would not be justified to compare to a speaker like a solo-x which has custom parts up the ying yang, tons of innovation, replicable everything’s, all kinds of cool shit and twice the motor!

This years mustang GT is still not going to compare with last years Saleen S7

And just so we are both clear, the GT is not better or worst than the S7, they are just different.

There aren't any published T/S specs for the MT, I'd like to know where you got yours to compare to the BTL.

Second of all. I bet you have little to no hands on experience with EITHER subwoofer in question.

Third of all, you are an ignorant r-tard. Get it?

Quit throwing around opinionated and qualitative words, start using quantitive facts that can compare the two woofers if you actually want your argument to hold any ground.

soloX been around quite a while.

Fi been out a coupe of months.

kicker sells way more so naturally you`ll see them on ebay.

not bashing Fi, after they`ve been around a bit longer actually considering buying 1 or 2.

How many dB Drag competitons have you attended in the past year or two?

MT's are up there with the SoloX's in the lanes...especially in wall classes. In fact, a lot of people who COULD be running SoloX's in their wall chose to run MT's.

SoloX's kick ***, no doubt. Two of the loudest Street Cars I've seen both run SoloX's. But the MT has held it's own in the lanes and the BTL is already proving itself.

I actually have a solo x 18, but cannot say I have experience with it. I haven't hooked it up yet. I have heard 4 of them in a ram x-cab. on about 30000 watts. Yeah they are some monsters, but I have heard WAY too much stuff about the fi btl to say the solo x is better or worse. Kinda like back in junior high when everyone was thinking the bigger the magnet, the harder it will hit.
