solo-x vs 5000SPL

Which one will perform much better SPL @ 1500W. I have about 3.5 cf for a ported enclosure. I can only afford one. Just looking for some opinions.

wouldnt do either with only that much lol re sx incriminator audio li alpine type r or kicker l7 memphis m3............................................ those 2 woofers need aabout double that for a burp at least'

I see. All the memphis audio I saw where less than 1500W RMS@ 1 ohm. The type r, RMS is only 500W. The kicker is 750 RMS, which is exaclty what my pioneers where and I busted them. I will look into the resonant engineering.

umm u need too look at your box and how you set up the system. faulty electrical systems in the car blow more speakers than everything BUT user error. and i know people who burp m3's with over 2k watts and the speakers are over a yr old

I have 1100watts going to the type r's and they are laughing at me. Very underrated on rms. Go with those.

u have two 12's in a sealed box getting a rated "1100wrms"..that totals 550 per driver...or only 50 watts above rated...they had better be laughing at u. sendign 50 watts more then rated isn't exactly what i would call "overpowering".

and i doubt the lanzar is doing a full 1100...

flipx99..of your choices, the 10 or 12" solo x would be my choice. in a daily application, 1500wrms is plenty, with the right box. and with 3 cubes +, i'd suggest the 12" version. make sure u have a subsonic filter, and have it on. consistant playing below tuning (these things drop low like mad) will tear up a surround, lol, i've killed a few. otherwise, 1.5k for daily is perfect for them. (though 2.5k would be better..lol)

If the kicker you're looking at is 750 RMS...you arent looking at the solo-x.
