solo x or l7?

i need some help deciding on what type of subs i wont for my 4runner..ive narrowed it down to either 1 18" solo x or 4 12" L7s..any suggestions on which would be the best

How much power do you have available?

L7's get my vote because of practicallity. Besides a series of woofers looks so much better. Watching 4 subwoofers pound in unison is a thing of beauty.

You need to spend a lot of time here just reading things......

To run either of those options, youre going to need a lot of power- and to get a lot of power, you will need electrical upgrades.

What is your budget for this setup?

My suggestion, go smaller since your barely starting out...perhaps two L7s or even one....

car audio is expensive so buy something cheaper first and make sure u like the boom,boom and then upgrade from thier

two good first choices that come to mind is the type R, and pioneer.

if you're looking for absolutely insane SPL levels, ive got a woofer comparable to the Solo X that im letting go for VERY cheap brand new

Frankly, it's pretty obvious you don't know enough to make the subs be anything but a complete waste of money. Like it was already mentioned, start of alot smaller, like 1-2 L7's, and ditch the solo X idea. Your not doing this for competition I'd assume you just want to impress your friends and shake things, there are easier ways to do that than by spending 6 grand.
