assassin 8's

i finally got home from college and built a box for one of the 3 assassin 8's i have lying around. its .52 ported to 35hz w/ about 8.5" of port area...running off my hifonics amp that should put out about 300rms @ 4ohms.

man oh man does this thing surprise me! its sound quality even at high excursion levels and its response and output blow me away. i was expecting a good 8, but this is by far exceeding my expectations as of now. my 15" ava is great, and theres no replacement for displacement, but this 8 holds its own and produces notes on late night tip and bme click like nothing ive heard in this class before. i built a great box for it, and that probably helps, but i highly recommend this sub to anyone who wants to mess around with something cheap and get kicks out of it. thanks AA for another wonderful product...oh, and you may want to go with a little more port area, as the one i have produces a lot of port noise...this baby moves some air maN!

yea im waiting on my girl to decide when shes ready for a system shes getting the 12's. but for me i might through a 8" assasin in my room for a room theater along with the AA 6.5" in my bookshelfs
