Well i got my solo x 10 in finally and i must say it gets pretty loud but is VERY lacking on the low notes. My question is, Is this problem box size and tuning or is this just the way a 10 is gonna be?? My Treo SSI got down MUCH lower than this thing does and i miss it. So build a different box or get a bigger (12") sub?

BTW the box it is currently in at my best guess is around 2.5 ft^3 and i have no idea what it is tuned to (bought the box off a friend).

i bet it isn't tuned low enough

brand new one? break it in.. or trade me it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Well it is an 04 model but from what i gather from the guy i bought it from on here it was not played long enough to be broke in yet. I am guessing the box it probably tuned to mid 40's just by the way it sounds. My 12" Treo SSi was tuned to 30hz and i miss those low notes bad! I may try to build a box for it so i will know for sure what it is tuned to.

just post up all the specs of the box you have and i'm sure someone could calculate it all out for you.
The box is slanted on one side and curved on another so i am afraid it would be difficult to give outside deminsions, my best guess is around 2.5 As far as the port goes it is roughly 13-14 inches long and has a 36 inch surface area. If anyone wants to calculate that it would be cool to see what the heck it is tuned to.

I found out the shop that built it for my friend and i hear the guy that built it "doesnt tune shit" so who knows.

if that is the case i may need to find a different woofer. i was hoping it was an issue with the box not the sub bc everything else about it i like.

btw did you ever get those type R's resolved with fed ex??
