Solo-12 Vs Mt-12

Either sub would get really loud. Sq is subjective...I think my MT's sound great. Solox can handle a lot o fpower? Yes, but there's a reason the MT does not have an RMS rating. I run what's in my sig daily...and I play it loud...so they take some abuse. Havent had one problem out of any of the MT's Ive owned.

Either one would fit the bill...take your pick.

daily driving you'll want SQL, re xxx all the way

if it's only between the solo x and the re mt, gotta say RE, it's take re over kicker any day.

but either of those 2 subs PROBLY wont have great SQ since the mt is made strictly for SPL and the kicker is also designed for SPL and the L7 sounds like garbage SQwise.....

if you have only 3.5-4 cubs of space to work with that's gonna be way too small for either the ones u listed, i knwo the mt's work well around 6 cubs and the kicker's require alot too.

fortunitly for u the xxx happens to be recommended for 4 cubs ported. xxx is great, SEXY motor structure too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thats my 2 cents also.

L7 sounds like crap

IMO MT>solox MT's will take whatever you throw at them and will likely sound better then the solo-x depending on the install. Since this is mainly for a daily driver though you should also check out the DP like Dave said. Its not too far down from the MT and can also take one hell of a beating. just ask Dave who used to run his modded 1501d on it at .5 daily.

Is your setup extremely loud to say the least?

im gonna go ahead and suggest the solo x. I have a 12 powered by two jbl bp 1200s and it takes them no problem. Yea, the sq sucks compared to the PG titaniums i used to have, but its crazy how one 12 can get just as loud and louder than the Pg titaniums, even though they were 15's...the solo x gets loud as ****.....i have never heard an Mt , but I cant say anything bad about the solo x man.......

Hey I know it's not a subwoofer that you offered, but personally I think that the RE SX is what you are looking for.

With the amount of power you have listed, it should be the LOUDEST SPL sub, I'm not promising or guaranteeing it, but from what I have read, and my friends own the MT and the SX, so from what they have told me, the SX would be louder than the MT with that kind of power. Now I have been told that with that kind of power the L7 would beat the Solo X so I'm using deductive reasoning to determine that the SX is what you want.

Again, I'm not saying 100% for sure I'm right, just trying to help you with what I know and have herd, go with the SX.

Just my 2 cents,

Craig G

a solox 12 can sound very nice sealed and produce some sick SPL to boot.

maybe build a high-tuned ported box for comps, and plug it for daily? thats what id do if that was on my plate.

Out of everything that's been thrown out there, I'd take a DP hands down. Space you have limits the MT and the Solo X. The Solo X is a pile of trash IMO and shouldn't be put in the same category as the MT. After using the solo X 12, 15, and 18 in different SPL vehicles for a local SPL guy here, he gave up. Basically the Solo X is ok but it still to me has flaws. He switched to 9515's and is happy. As also said if you want this as a daily driver, don't go either route go with a DP. The Dp's are great subs and Matt inhumanacura on here, is selling his DP 12 for cheap.

the Solo X has no flaws, many street guys are using them on Termpro, setting records and doing fine, if he couldn't get them to work, maybe he should contact Tech support for help,.works for Chris Norris, Terry Jackson, Neil Barber and Greg Welch to name a few...

the only problem the Solo X has is sensitivity, you cannot expect it to get loud without alot of power...but then again, it's designed that way.
