Solo-12 Vs Mt-12

Im am going with 1 of the 2 woofers listed for a daily driver that will hit a couple of comps. I have a CROSSFIRE 2000D for daily I will run it at a 2 ohm load it's good for about 2500watts. It will be going in a CHEVY CAVILER 2DR Coupe a new one. Will one have any better SQ than the other? Will one be louder given the right box for both. The thing I like about the MT is that it is cheaper to recone. Also the max box size I have to work with is like 3.5 cubes internal maybe 4 but thats pushing it.

Never heard either of them. I have heard great things about both. I do know that a solo x comes with a recone though I am pretty sure. If you buy it new.

I always get kind of iffy about subs that come with a recone kit..

To me it just says something about the quality and durability..

well either one is good i think the MT will have better SQ but with burps i think the Kicker will be the best since the L7 15 sounds like farts

I was thinking about this today also. But I went ahead and bought an used 12" MT, I think it will probably be better than the solo x who knows.

not even close lol...

I would go with the Solo X mainly because of the amazing power it can handle and the extreme levels it can produce....It is a very sufficient sub and I think paired with that amp it will be insanley loud and have minimum SQ. Though it's still keep up very well...

I cannot comment on the MT mainly because I have never heard on let alone seen one in real life.

an MT can take 2500 without a sweat, so whats ur point? Guy out here won a comp last year with i believe 2 15" mts and each one had 4 modded mtx 1501s running about (about 8000 watts to each sub). I believe hit 156.? , so the mt can definately get just as loud. However I wouldn't recommend either for a daily driver. Not sure on the solo x stand point but I've heard many places, including re, that the mt is not a daily driver sub. Have you done a lot of research on it? However I'd recommend 2 12" sx's or maybe a 15" xxx even with the gain adjusted accordingly... prolly around 1600-1800 watts. Just my 2 cents.

I would go with 2 12 ported but they wont fit in my trunk. I know there are a few people that daily drive with MT's and say it fine to do. Im just trying to decide between the 2 I know this I can get a SOLO X 12 for 450 and the Mt for 400 brand new. Im wonderind how many cubes each sub takes ported.
