SOFT BASS? Part II

All an Epicenter will do for you is add more bass down low, pretty much the opposite of what you are looking for. you can actually stuff your box pretty full with poly fill, mine is about 2/3-3/4 full and sounds quite smooth. If you end up deciding on a new sub, seriously consider the Dls Mw10, they are extremely smooth, and not real punchy in a sealed box.

an EpiCenter doesn't add, or boost bass. It simply recreates it.

so a bigger enclosure with polyfill with give my sub a sound more like a midbass driver???
Exactly the opposite.

Making the enclosure larger will lower Qtc and generally give you a flatter frequency response, better transient response and group delay, and lower overall output - exactly the kind of things you're looking for.

I would recommend an IB install in your case //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If it recreates bass, isn't that much the same as adding it? I say yes, and I also believe it is not what he wants from what I have read. FYI I have one, and know exactly what it does. Soft bass, is not what it does.
