so..

Depends on what power you're running to them. I had a Stetsom 2k6d running to the MX 15" and it was pushing it to it's limit. So if you're running more than about 2500wrms to each sub the XXX is the better woofer to have gone with. I liked that the MX had the Neo mag so it wasn't all that heavy and I'm not positive but I think I read somewhere that the MX had slightly better SQ (although I think there was some mechanical noise associated with it as well). Either way if I were you I would have bought some TC 5200/5400's, Xcons, or even the new Nightshades for around the same price.

I already explained some of that, man.
1. People like small/ported enclosures, but the XXX does better in large/sealed boxes.

2. RE Audio sold out and a lot of people have a problem with that.

3. The XXX is obscenely expensive.

4. Many less expensive subwoofers get just as loud, or louder, than the XXX.

That should cover it...
That covers it.

XXX is made for low low frequencies. This forum is stock on "SPL rules all." This subwoofer isn't made for SPL numbers, but people try to use it for numbers thus get disappointed when SPL subs outdo it in terms of numbers.

Like other's have said, the XXX shines in large boxes, whether sealed or ported. I've heard a top of line diamond sub 15", a 12W7, and a 12" XXX all together in a home set up with the same amplifier with similar boxes (15" was bigger, but 12"s were the same). The XXX blew them out of the water in output, range, and accuracy.
