its not basic english, yes similes and metaphors are, but go ahead try to write a few lines that actually make word play n see if its even any good..anyone can write a simile or metaphor but could u put it ina rap and it not be garbage...the guy makes more then all of us so apparently he has talent somewhere

many underground rappers and lots of friends that write and battle rap could come up with mind blowing metas and wordplay and make it sound dope as helll..

just cuz he makes more than use doesnt mean he has some sick talent you need to understand the bisnesss of the game before even touching that topic
