I feel bad for the hip-hop artists out there whose lyrics probably could stand on their own without a bass line, but won't be heard over radio because they're too busy making money off that tripe.

But if you try to reason it and dig deep, mentioning lyrics, content, etc....you're going to be sadly underwhelmed.

Mac Lethal. He's like Young Jeezy but with lyrics and content. Bass is epic on tracks like "Sledgehammer," too.

Get the album, lots of really good shit. He also won Scribble Jam a few years back...so I think that speaks for itself. Can't really name a guy who can win Scribble Jam and put together a good album. I can name a bunch that can't, though. lol.
