i used to have a 360, i liked it alot its a good console, i sold it to save up for a PS3 which i think will start to dominate once it drops in price and GTA IV comes out, shits gonna be tighttttt. But I also just bought a Wii yesterday, I must say if you have some friends over and your ****ed up the Wii dominates both fields, its very entertaining. But yeah online for 360 is a bit pricey but I liked it, Ive just always been a playstation guy

I could be wrong but isn't the GTA franchise no longer a Playstation exclusive?? I thought I heard that the next GTA game was going to be released on BOTH platforms.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

yes GTA IV is releasing on both platforms. been confirmed. ps3 lost most exclusives they used to hold (except final fantasy). i never really cared for the games playstation had (exept devil may cry, final fantasy and socom). it has great games, but overall i enjoy the 360's games ALOT more. i love my 360. I've had my console since launch day and not had a single problem or fault with it at all. i've had good experience with them. xbl is fun, but there's ALOT of politics and bullshit online. just gotta try to filter it out.

i have been contemplating getting a ps3, but i just can't have the $600 price tag it carries.

Can the 360 use Wi-Fi? Because if it can't then I'd have to pay for internet servive every month on top of the Xbox live, which would mean victory for PS3...

I had a friend from work stop by and noticed i had both systems and wondered which i would choose if i was going to buy just one..I told him to check both out and upon turning on my 6 month old 360 it lit up red and wouldnt go green after turning the thing off like 20x...then it just decided to work. In the past 2 weeks its been giving me a lot of problems..

like someone else already stated, the only downside of the ps3 is the lack of titles currently available. When GTA and GranTurismo come out it'll be better than the 360 by far.

360 without a doubt. I know a ton of people with 360s and only 1 has had problems out of the 20 or so friends. On the other had all I heard about the release of the PS3 was how **** many units just didn't work out of the box. Plus Sony lost 99% of exclusives and Microsoft picked many of those up as exclusives themselves. As for power, the PS3 has a better processor, thats it, the disc drive is barely fast enought to play movies let alone load game data, they have many many HD scaling issues and to top it all off the GPU in the 360 is more powerful than the one in the PS3, plus they can actually use the power of its processor now, not in 2 years which is about the timetable to get the Cell fully utilized. All in all 360>>PS3.

GTA is no longer a Sony exclusive so you can't count that as making the PS3 better since it will be on both consoles, and the graphics will be identical.

What's Gran Turismo going to do? Be another show case for hundreds of useless clone cars? Gt3 was ****ing awesome. Gt4 sucked. Horrible interface, engine sounds were atrocious, AI was stupid, lack of damage, extreme bias in car power and ability. It was ridiculous. GT3 still remains one of my most favorite games, though.

PS3 has some awesome games coming out. LittleBigWorld, Home, Ratchet & Clank, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Metal Gear Solid4. The console packs a serious punch, but the 360 is capable of running games in 1080p THROUGH component cables. The fall patch made 1080p work, and the list of games supporting it only grows.

The 360 has its problems, but I personally have not had any, nor has anyone else I know who owns one. I only know one person with a PS3, and it's been fine for him as well.

The online on 360 destroys the PS3 online. inter-game voice chat, join games just from clicking on someone's name. All very seamless. The addition of paying for an account makes it easier to drop the ban hammer on douche bag hackers. Halo2 was bad in that regard, but MS isn't playing this round. Modded consoles detected on LIVE get a nice perma-ban.

Both are getting great support in the future. Going into college, and money being an issue, I'd suggest the 360. The price difference will allow for 3 games for the 360.

owned a 360 sold it and got a wii. the 360 was definately nice, but the wii is more fun. they are starting to come out with better games on the wii. madden is fun and i just picked up resident evil but haven't got into it yet.
