So , police are hear to protect , and serve .......

How about this:
Tonight I pull into a local drug store and I notice a friend of mine standing by his car about to leave. I park beside him, get out and we stand there talking for about 5 minutes. He gets in his car, gets ready to leave and I pull mine up closer to the front. He spins the tires a little in the parking lot. Then I see blue lights, two cop cars have got him blocked in. I'm still trying to move my car, so I try to back up some more but I notice a car behind me will not move. So I just leave it and get out. He yells to me to get back in my car, no one told me to get out. At this time, I realized it was a cop. I get back in and he comes to get my license. I was issued a $100 trespassing ticket. He tells me I was in the parking lot for 10-15 minutes, which I wasn't. I pulled out, left, went back to the store after they were gone and got what I needed. I'd really love to know how talking to a friend in the parking lot before I went in the store was grounds for trespassing.

Most cops here are dickheads, with the exception of State Troopers. They're actually really respectful.
If you werent there for that long go to court and fight it. He prob wont show and you will more than likely win. And he charged you with trespassing, which makes me think the owner called them, since they just showed up out of no where. Are you sure the owner didnt call and say there was kids in his lot loitering and pealing out in their cars. Because that would explain it a little better. I mean, you are saying you were there for 5 minutes, 2 cops drove by and saw you guys, stopped you and your buddy and claimed you were there for 15 minutes and were tresspassing. Doesnt seem right, but if thats the case go to court and fight it. If that is the whole story the cops obviously are making shit up and it wont hold up in court. But if the owner called in on you because you were loitering, that explains it and you should find a better use of your time.

Yeah I'll be in court. It was a trespassing/loitering ticket...the store wasn't even busy, we were the only people out there besides maybe two more cars. I saw ~4-5 cops tonight in the area, but I didn't think anything about it. There was only one cop I talked to, the other two had the other guy blocked in. Anyway, there wasn't a lot of people there, about 4 cars total in the lot, one was mine, one was my friend's, and the other two were customers I guess. It just doesn't seem right to me, it's against the law to talk for five minutes in a parking lot? WTF?

Bad thing is, I drove back by after everything was over and I had got what I needed from the store, there were two cars parked out there doing the same thing we were doing. They were there a good 45 minutes, I drove back by, cops were driving by constantly, but none pulled in to issue them citations. I guess I need to start taking pictures with the time/date stamp on to use it in court..maybe that would help my case?

I'm pretty sure if he hadn't done the whole burnout deal, none of this would've happened.

Can almost guarantee that did the most damage. But just cause your friend was stupid, you should still have a good chance beating it in court, unless it was the owner who called, and he comes to court and says otherwise.

My friend knows the manager, so I'm pretty sure I can get out of it.

I actually went back by and took a picture of the cars in front of the store, but the **** date stamp wasn't on //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif.
