So NO ONE writes firmware upgrades for the Alpine PXA-H800 DSP?

I used DDWRT firmware upgrades to my two wifi routers in my house to allow them to be bridged together! Their hardware was capable, only their native manufacturer's firmware limited them!!

No one here is doing anything like that for auto audio DSP units like my Alpine PXA-H800 DSP? Imagine the possibilities! Am I gonna have to unearth my computer engineering skills to get this done?

Some kinda auto audio enthusiasts we have here, eh? ;-)

How do you know that?
Examples of how the Firmware limits the functionality of the DSP?
Because I know how these types of commercial products work! A manufacturer can build one type hardware device then write numerous varied feature firmware products and then sell the hardware with different featured firmware versions at DIFFERENT PRICES!!

Remember, MONEY rules all corporations! I found this out with Wifi routers and WWDRT! Example with the Alpine PDX-H800: eight RCA outputs, six just labeled ostensibly full range outputs and two labeled SUB outputs! What if I want to use all eight outputs as full range? I'll BET the hardware can do it, but the labeling and software restrict us to ONLY what Alpine wants us to use!

QED!!

If you cant figure out how to use the dsp with the manufacturers software with included manuals and documentation I doubt you can write new code and flash it to the dsp making it do things it can already do but you cant figure out.

Id be willing to bet that the 6 full range outputs have completely different hardware on the circuit board for processing than the 2 sub outputs.

I've already explained how to get 8 full range channels out of your PXA-H800…you're just too fucking stupid to read and follow directions(both mine and the manuals). You have your equipment SET UP INCORRECTLY!

You want to modify the firmware when you can't even figure out the basics of the current firmware.

You post useless shit. You burn up you own equipment. You ask for advice/answers then ignore it when you receive it.

You're a fucking idiot..your firmware is the issue.

You cant modify firmware when manufacturers dont release source code.

Dd-wrt is mainly made for linksys since router manufacturers release source.

Also a dsp is limited to its hardware.. there is nothing extra you can modify other then removing xover points.

This is hilarious.

It would literally make my week if he happens to burn up both his amps somehow.

How does this guy not follow the simplist instructions given to him?!?! How does he even have a job?? Loves to do things his own way, and no one else's. His system his $$ yet he's on the road to failure already.

I have DDWRT running on an Azus (house router) and a Cisco (my personal router), bridged together.

I dunno I was just asking.
