I was interested in this topic b/c I recently had someone hit my rear tail lamp/guard and had to pay $380 out of pocket. I just hope you have better luck than I did.

It's the **** lights that get people. Bodyshops and junk yard can jack the prices as they feel, because we have to have them. Bastards.

He was probably worried you would flip out on him. According to a lot of internet thugs, flipping out is the right thing to do, and fixes all the damage done.

I have to hand it to ya there, I didn't handle it quite that well to say the least.

Thought about upgrading though and had the same problem, the dealership was the only place I could find that had the parts I needed $$$ (never buy a RRover). To get rid of the guard and get clears would have been the arm-n-leg package.

Junk yard -- I called them all within driving distance, $380 is just for the lamp guard. And heh for the latter!
