so my first day at the audio shop

so yesterday was my first day there, helped set up a new orion sub display (some WCC 12's, and some HP10.4's) stacked some shelves, organized the stock room, and made 2 sales

the shop sells orion, planet audio, some quantum, kenwood, pioneer, jl, clifford alarms, and some others

and i also found out bout the sweet little discount i get, and that i'm gonna be getting in the neighborhood of $10/hr

all in all it was a fun 9 hours, and when i was talking to my dad (my other boss, im now working 2 jobs) he told me i need to decide which job i wanna do, cuz i just found out that i need to restart my project with my dad due to the fact the way i was told to do it by him was wrong, so i'm pretty sure i know what im going to do

well its been a good 2 year run, i mean $11/hr for sitting at a comp making my own hours doing really easy work

but yeah im sick of never leaving my place i need to get out and have social interaction

Once you figure out who has the skills, learn from them. Never, ever be arrogant at anytime with anyone while on the job. Humility will carry you allot farther than arrogance. There is always someone lurking somewhere that knows more than you. Congrats on the job. Working at car audio shops can be a interesting time. Just don't push a product on a customer that they don't want to buy. Ask them what they are looking for and build upon that. I hate shops that try to push say JL on you because it has a higher profit margin.

xEleventy Billion +1... I worked for my dad over break, he would pay everyone else, and not pay me... Then when I ask for my money, he says, "What money?" and he owed me about $1600, $500 of which was supposed to by my graduation present... Which in return caused me to back out of a deal with HCCAfan for the last Orion 2500D that he had. I know it pissed Shane off, and I was pissed...

Yeah, don't work for, or with family... Seldomly turns out pretty...
