So is this germane? That's what is going to be done with the current rep amounts....being set back to zero?

And assuming that this is the manner in which Goob and/or the current mods have chosen to rectify the situation....what will it solve, really? Before the beginning of the year there was no rep system in place. After it was instituted all of us had ZERO rep points. Through one mechanism or another some people ended up with HEAPS of rep while others have little to none.

How in the world will they (Goob and the mod team) keep it from happening all over again?!? If my assumption is true (that they can't - abuse will happen and cannot be completely avoided) then won't the 'rep reset' just be an exercise in futility?
