So lost ..don't know what to get

I've been around for a long time enough to know that these threads aren't innovative but...

Being from Quebec in Canada, I can't really hear the subs at local shop since all they sell is kicker, kenwood, alpine and pioneer. I want something more exotics as people don't even know what Fi/Re/Id is around here...

Right now, i'm using two american made (old model) sd (not C) 2.5 and while they sound fine, i still want something that will sound better. Beside that, i'm not really into spl comp, but i like loud bass on friday night after job //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif I'd say i play subs at full tilt around 20% of the time.... the rest of the time i'm just blending them with the frontstage (which is plenty loud btw)

So, i got around 6-7ft/cu NET to play with... probably more around 6-6.5 after sub/port/bracing displacement.

I would be looking for either 2 twelves or one fifteen or one eighteen with low airspace recommandation. Whatever is choosen will be ported in the 28-32 area.

I want the sub(s) to sound GOOD... a Fi Q sound good to my ear... but drop roll off too quickly in the high 50s for my taste. I still have a 18Q in my house and i tried few box combinaison without getting exactly what i want. Maybe i don't have enough airspace for it

As far as power goes, it will be powered by an bxi2006d. I prefer driving it at 1ohm and probably won't upgrade soon since i would need more batt.. which equal more weight... which equal new suspension and ... too much work. Anyway, since i don't listen to my subs at 140db all day long ... i don't need more power.

I've been offer an 15inch RD alpha v2. But i find the fs a bit on the high side, so unsure about his ability to dig low

I'd like some reccomandation from the experts... not the compagnies rep who would sell their soul for a sale...

I'm not in a hurry of buying... i just want to be sure i won't buy something that i'll want to change in 2 months.

I'd reccomend a CD Omega, or some 3hp based driver. I've used both, and they both get pretty loud while still sounding good.

I would say they're sql, but they can easily put up numbers if thats what you want them to do. I have mine in a 30 hz tuned box and they sound great.

I went with a pair of 12Tc sounds tc-9

I hope they sound at least as good as my fiQ and get as loud too. Epic-160 will give an objective answer
