I measured the trunk, had lots of room, so I bought myself a 15" mach5 spl. now that i go to build the box i realize there is only a 16" opening into the trunk, and even less space through the fold down seats. I definitely dont have the skills to build in the trunk so my Q is can I upfire the sub? If so how much space should be between the sub and trunk lid and which way to fire the port.

well i was told by Mark that i would be good with 3.8 cubes gross, so i was thinking if i did the box 24x25x11 i would have 3.81 which would be perfect, but the sub would have to fire up. The floor to top of the trunk is 16.5-20" so there would be atleast 5" of clearance. I believe the sub is about 9" deep. How much space should be between the magnet and box?

im by lougheed mall, but i dont have any tools so dont know when i am going to work on it next. Doing the work at a friend of my parents place so im kinda on his schedule. Just trying to figure out a design idea.

The opening between the bottom of trunk and back window is 13", so taking the seat out would not help. the trunk opening is bigger
is that measured with the backseats in or just laid down? i know in my gfs sable we gained close to 4" by taking out the bracket since her trunk opening was to small to fit the box in
