This is what happens around here....I'll say I'm running SSA, Sundown or Crescendo and they'll kinda have a dumbfounded look on their face for a second then be like "oh yeah those are pretty good" like they've heard of them

Well, im running two older 10in CVR subs,@2ohms ea, on a dedicated autotek Mean Machine 66/66watts@4ohms,and they Slamm pretty good.@34-36htz approx @1.4cu ft.and they are quite impressive..Guy at Car Toys thought I was running a pair of 15s..lol..looked at my amps/subs/box, and said ..no way in hell!..Have a seat..lol..If you build a good tuned box, and feed good true rms power, any sub can sound good/Slamm!Kickers have always been decent,for the money,and have been around for years,and still in business..My truck?..Different story,and different power.

I had some guys jump on me when I said that I think anything Kicker besides the CVX and Solo X are complete garbage and that square subs sound like poo. One of those guys was helping me with an install later on (made him to the bish work) and said he never heard of an RE sub. He didn't think it was anything worthwhile. When I got it running (1 10'' SE sealed) he was amazed on how good it sounded. Then he was amazed when I told him I only paid $90 for it. Compared to his W3 10 that he paid way too much for.
Or my friend that had 2 Comp 10's running on maybe 40 watts each with maybe 16 gauge power wire haha. Or the dude with an L7 which was "soooo loud" in it's prefab with 8 gauge running to the amp. He got mad when I said it sounded like pure distortion. These guys SMFH. Almost made me want to move home where my buddies have beast systems that you see on here.

got a pair of obsidian 15's for christmas, told the boys at school and they laughed. one of the boys told me his boss 15's in a sealed prefab on a 3800 watt boss amp with a 8 gauge wiring kit and stock electrical would hit harder.. i agreed. mine, of course, hit harder with the bass knob turned all the way down... haha

Not saying L7's don't get loud, but this was in a prefab with an amp that had terrible wiring, who knows what the settings were. I also said I think the CVX/L7 motor is pretty decent I just hate square subs.
