http://www.powerstream.com/Wire_Size.htm doesnt matter want the amp needs, you fuse to the wire: says 380Abut @4/0 can vary quite a bit due to strand count and quality of material..just read that its going to be rather short run of wire, but still a fire would probably ruin that $1000 amp you have..

strand count has nothing at all to do with ampacity, overall diameter is all that matters.

cable quality has everything to do with tho. and he is 100% correct on wiring to the cable size as close to the main battery as possible. I would do 2 - 300 amp circuit breakers.

you fuse for amp requirements at the rear by the amps.

I would sell you a c/b or fuse holder with a fuse for 15$ plus shipping but I have never seen 1 that will fit 4/0 lolz
