So I got pulled over the other day...

I wasn't *****ing....re-read the bottom sentence.
I did, also read the part about it being "lame", that you didnt get a ticket //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif. If its not b1tching/whining, I dunno what it is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

My dad, when he was teaching us to drive, pounded it into our heads over and over and over and over about using indicators to make a turn, make a lane change, etc etc. Since that was how I was taught to drive I can't not use a turn signal now even if I thought about it - it's simply instinct.

As a result of that people who fail to indicate when necessary are a huge pet peeve of mine. I am of the firm belief that if more people both used indicators and paid attention to other people doing so there would be a huge drop in the accident rate nationwide.

Now that I'm done ranting....nice to see that the only thing you really had to cope with was the cop's minor interrogation. Tickets for moving violations are never fun and insurance companies tend to not look upon them very fondly.

Glad to hear all you got was a warning.

x2, I get a temper on the road sometimes(nothing like people on tv lol) and realize some of that is my fault.....but I can't stand people who dont signal. Especially when I could have gone if they would have signaled when they should have //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

i use my right signal to go in the left lane...........is that bad? lol j/p well no not really, i do it joking with friends when were driving on empty highways. u know, a good inside joke i guess. i drive so that when i turn, all i have to do is stick my finger out and it catches the blinker switch. works like a charm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yes I agree prowler. But this was late at night/very early morning when no ones around.
Obviously there was a member of the local constabulary around, wasn't there?

Now if there's was traffic and such, then I might have.
If you use it no matter what until it becomes second nature then you'll never have to recount an experience such as described in the original post ever again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I've seen many, many, many people in front of me not use it, and just turn suddenly. I could go on and on about this so I'll end it here.
Me, too. Which is why it irritates the living hell out of me when it happens.

Gotta love the people who signal to change lanes after they're already in the lane or 3/4 of the way over. Thanks for the warning!

I agree about the whole WA state cops thing. The highway cops are pricks. I swear one guy seen my BC plate and followed me along his entire county ...

On another note ... the best highway cops are ...

Vermont.

Somewhere near the border ...

Anyone ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I can't comment on their highway cops having never run afoul of any of them to have face-to-face meeting....but their judicial staffing leaves much to be desired.............//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

I was just going to post THE SAME EXACT THING, my mom taught me though, not my dad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Probably looking to give out some DUI's to drunken navy dudes, ive been pulled over in everett and hassled too.

When i was grouwing up tacoma had the most lax cops around...if you were white and your ID said you lived in the north end you could get away with almost anything. I remember more than once being underaged drunk and driving and being let go..or not charging people for possesion.. shit like that. Ive heard its changed now though. Now if you were white and in hill top at night or something they would **** with you hard core..."white people only come up here at night to buy drugs!!"

Grew up in western washington, tacoma mostly...but have lived in port angeles, bremerton, seatac, west seattle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif now i live in south D ;( i miss the mountains and water
