so i got fired today.... tell me what you think.

true. kids, dont smoke. they tried to arrest me for smoking because im under 18 but i willingly went on my knees and put my hands behind my back and said if ur guna do it, then do it now. and they decided not to arrest me, but fire me

That did it...
you should've told them no one told you it was...

you could've turned it on the manager by telling them that the manager didn't train you well enough and should've warned you about that.
true, but i do remember like my 1st day or so they said we couldnt do that but that shit was 7 months ago, i just told him if the manager did say that i dont remember wat happened back then. this isnt the 1st time i exchanged money for a costumer so i was pissed

moral of the story, dont smoke kids...
smoking anytime before or during working hours whether you are clocked in is a bad idea. smokers really smell bad to non smokers and i hate going though a line when there are smokers present

other than that all i would suggest is for you to stop mistyping "write"

They can't arrest you..

especially if they aren't cops..

but cops can't do that either..

you just get a 250 dollar ticket or have to write a 10 page report on how tobacco is bad for you..

haha yeah i was there..

well... I guess you deserved it then :p

too bad kid.. find another job.. Good Luck with that too...

well the tickets over here are $25 not 250 lol. but its cool i got another job lined up for me haha. im just lookin to see how many ppl think this is bullshit

i walk into the store and punch in and go on register for like 5 mins when i get called down to the office. i walk in and some loss prevention lady is there with my head manager and i knew something wasent good. in my store if i get 3 wright up's i get fired. so she was there and said im getting a wright up for exchanging some money to a costumer... he had 2 $100 bills and wanted 20's. so i check if his money was real and it was so i exchanged it and counted the 20's like four times to see if it was right. then she said i lost the store $100.... then she wrote me up for sitting down, and smoking outside of the store. so i got fired. what do all of you think about this?
WoW, I do not know what else to say..

It's been said already....

Do Not exchange money. (Does not matter if it was 7 months ago)

It's against the Law for you to smoke at your age.

And, Lastly You couldn't spell if your life depended on it.

Oh Well, Sorry you lost your job.

Look at the brite side, now that you lost your job. You could lose the smokes. And devote more time to school.

You know, to like learned how to spelled.

And/Or, how to structure an understandable sentence.

haha funny. seriously... i kno i cant spell right now cuz im just so frustrated and cant really consintrate. but yah idk wat else to say
Oh Seriously then... Sorry I missed that part.

Then No, I do not think it is Bullshit.

I think you got what you deserved.

It is against policy to exchange money yet you did. It doesn't matter if you had done it before. You are under age yet smoke in front of the store. In the companies eyes, what other laws are you willing to break? Your termination was well deserved and I hope you learned something from it.

BTW it is a common practice of stores to not allow money exchanging. They aren't friggin banks.

Do you guys not balance your register at the end of a shift? Every place I've ever worked where money was exchanged was required to do this... and each individual was responsible for their own 'drawer' most of the time. If it's a 1-register store with multiple employees involved with money, then it still should have shown up as being $100 short the day it happened.

Sounds to me like someone walked with some cash, they couldn't figure out who it was, so they saw you on the vid and just blamed you for it. Bum rap, but whaddya gonna do?

Personally, in our family business, we look at the employee as a whole if something like this arises... if they're a hard worker, show up on time, are (to all appearances) honest, responsible, etc., then we'll cut 'em a break... a time or two. Or even three. Recently had to let a girl go, though, because she repeatedly violated company policy and didn't seem concerned about it when confronted.

100:1 odds there's more to this story than we're all being told.

Just my $0.02

Chalk it up to experience, and next time make yourself a more valuable employee so that your employer has a REASON to want to keep you. It's a lesson that will serve you well throughout the rest of your life!
