So..I ended up waxing my freshly painted car....

lol i wouldnt exactly call meguires gold class a "high quality wax"

its pep boys shit

next time try zaino, AIO, Collinite, Klasse, P21S, etc

if i had to use pep boys shit, id use NXT. Its meguires too, it isnt high class by any means, but its way better than gold class.

I bought some, but it barely did shit. I think most of the haze is on the inside. I'll just have to take apart the headlight assembly and try doing the inside.
90% of the haze is on the OUTSIDE of the headlight, you need to wet sand them, and then buff them out.

Yeah I'll have to take a look at it next week. I have plenty of sand paper laying around, but nothing above 1500 grit. I'm glad I bought the right stuff though, it was only $5 at Wally World.

I have the NXT stuff from Meguires and never had a wax job come out better on my black car. And I have used Zaino many times from back in the day. Both great products in my mind, but for price the Zaino will take a back seat.

where exactly is the quality wax?
I dont see a liquid sufficing for a good wax. You need a paste mang.
Consumer Report did a comparison of a ton of waxes, including pastes/carnuba, liquid, sprays, etc. Black Magik liquid wax actually came out on top. I've used it quite a few times and its the best I've used yet. I detail cars as well, and have used many of the waxes on the market (besides some of the crazy expensive stuff like the Zaino kit and all that). I used P21S, some expensive German carnuba paste wax, and it was garbage. So go figure...
