So I caved and bought a pre-built computer

looks good and yea the only thing you need is an 8800gts and you can play it all, i just upgraded to the 8600gts for about $125 shipped which was sweeeet.

Yeah I started a thread about 2 weeks ago about building my own PC...but while at a local CC I was just looking at monitors and ended up seeing an HP for 899.99. It pretty much had everything I needed being that im not a huge gamer.
Specs:

Processor- Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600(2.4GHz)

Graphics- NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS graphics card with 256MB dedicated video memory, Up to 1535MB Total Available Graphics Memory as allocated by Windows Vista

Chipset Intel- G33 Express Chipset

Memory- Capacity 3GB DDR2

Hard Drive- 640GB 7200RPM SATA

Those are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head...if I do decide to get more into gaming, I can upgrade to the 8800GT and a better PSU.

I feel as if its not a bad PC for the price I paid...Also picked up a 20" Samsung monitor.

Good luck fitting a bigger graphics card and power supply into an HP m-series computer ... I don't suppose you've actually looked inside that thing, have you ? There's no way in hell you're getting an 8800 GT in that thing w/o modifying the chassis ...
I truly hope you got an Asus motherboard ... HP has had a habit lately of using ECS motherboards, which are absolute garbage ...

I have seen the inside, and yes its not user friendly in there, the big docks for the HP expansion drives take up a ton of room. But I have read where people have upgraded to 8800 and a 600watt psu...just takes a little time. Not sure about the mobo i'm going to look into it now though. Thanks for the heads up.

It will sufice for now...I don't do alot if any online/computer gaming. I mostly just use my computer for media purposes.

I should be happy with it...the only negative reviews I can find on it are because of HP's CS and a few DOAs (which mine is obviously not) and of course as Jmac pointed out the case is a mess on the insde

Hmmm, they must've made the case bigger for the m9000 series ... The older ones were even more cramped and messier than that ... But, yeah, still not much room ...
