my sub

my car..

plzz dont ridicule me on my poor looking setup, im not an expert box builder, but i assure you its built perfect to specs, and sealed perfect.

other than that..

is there another sub (or two) that i can put in my trunk that will get better db's then this??

they told me it would be hard to get more because of my truck type.. as you can see...

any suggestions??

if you looked at the picture closely u can see ports on it..

so its in a ported enclosure..

gt-28... i ebleive amp?? its the one with 1250 watts.. 2 ohm

i looked at the picture, however, an inch by one inch picture doesn't really show too much detail.

gt-28 as in boss audio?

that still doesn't give much information as to what kind of subwoofer you have etc.

but to answer your question in general, there is very likely to be much louder subwoofers than what you have, whether it is a single or double sub setup. and of course better quality gear will provide better sound quality. the only issue with your trunk would appear to be limited space.

You can fit 1 to 3 12's in the hatch of an F-body. Jake used to have 3 sealed Mag 12's in his F-body a long time ago.

And if arsonbob is correct and you're using a Boss audio amplifier, the very first thing to do is to sell it and buy a quality amplifier that supplies clean, rated power. Doing so will make a HUGE difference. 1200 Boss watts are equivalent to about 250-300 real watts.

sorry, thought i said i had a boston acoustics SPG.. guess not..

so i have a boston acoustic SPG with a boston acoustic gt-28..

... and im not sure i know what a mag is?

The SPG is an extremely expensive sub. I have heard they get loud and sound pretty darn good. But for the cost of it you could probably sell it and have some pretty good money to buy a couple loud subs.

Here is a link to the version of the Mag that Jake used:

But I wasn't just talking about SI's subs, I was giving a reference so you could see that you can squeeze multiple drivers back there in your F-body.

If memory serves me right you've got about 3 cubes back there to work with without extending the enclosure up over the gas tank. You can go with 1 15 sealed, 1 or 2 12's ported, 1 or 2 or 3 12's sealed, etc, if you want more output. Or you could port the driver that you have (if it's able to be ported)...or buy another one.
