So after winter end, I'm getting a new car. Which?

I'm planning on spending around $20k. Up to around $27k. Car will be barely used, probably around 2004-2005. Maybe 2006.

I'm thinking either...

2006 Ford Mustang

2004 Pontiac GTO

200? Dodge Charger

I'm leaning towards the GTO, because everyone and their mom has a mustang or charger. But I do like the looks of both of them. I realize that getting a car is a very personal thing, as it's mostly up to your own opinions and whatnot, but...

what I'm mostly looking for is some pros and cons of any of these cars, or maybe other american muscle cars. Anyone?

out of those options id say GTO, but not the 04. Make sure u get the 6.0 in it.

Also id consider a Magnum, ive always had a place in my heart for those things. Especialy after they released the SRT8 version, but that one is probably out of your price range.

yeah, need to know that I'm only 19. Can't really afford anything over $27k. =(

I know. I'm debating still, and have all winter to think about it (and probably back out.) Finances aren't a problem - the only thing that would kill me would be the insurance. before you lookf for a car, get a quote from your insurance company on what your rates will be.

i got a quote on an 04 tahoe full coverage and lets just say, i'd have to dedicate one whole paycheck to insurance alone.

AND i'm 21.

suvs/sportscars rates are gonna be high for you at your age. especially if you take out a loan cuz you'll have to have full coverage.

4 more years and my rates will drop thankfully.

good luck.

oh and also, i wouldn't look any higher than 24k-25k at the highest personally.

thats what happens when your parents pay for the car and only stick you with insurance.

I pay for everything. I paid for my jeep, pay for my jeep's insurance, etc.

I will also be paying for this new car myself. The only spoiling done on me by my parents was hooking me up with a job.

if you still live with your parents you could put an older sibling or maybe one of your parents on the insurance. when my 19 yo brother crashed his car and got put on my insurance on my car it went down about $500 a year
