Smoked my R 12

2004 R 12 went bye bye last night. I worked that sub hard last night for a long time and it let go. I don't even have the gains aggressive and I thought they said you can throw any power at em..... I guess not the 2004 model?

Doesnt matter if your gains are "aggressive" it could have still been clipping the amp and you could have not known it. but ive heard the 2004 models werent that great the 2005 was the one people threw tons of power at.

And I dont believe it was clipping. When I would play it hard I would get a slight burnt electronic smell coming from the port (notice I said slight). I was told that was just from volume. Im led to believe that it smoked from too much power for too long....Could be wrong..
