Smoked Lights in Ohio

id suggest a google search or a call to the dot or something. youll get more accurate answers from them than a bunch of people who just live in the area and THINK they know the laws

i can't find anything on the ohio dmv site and i haven't seen it illegal on any ohio gov sites, but i might have to call..

certainly doesnt hurt to call. are you talking just the dark plastic headlight/tailight covers? i see those on cars all the time so i cant imagine people have an issue with them.

also if they are technically "illegal" depends on the area you live whether cops will have a problem or not. suburbs closer to cleveland probably would have trouble. if you live in a rural community where you know all the cops on the force on a first name basis, probably not a problem lol

Haven't heard of any trouble... but I think it might be illegal past a certain extent.

Most people around here smoke there's by having them sprayed with clear mixed with a little black.

Never heard of any trouble though.

i want them darker not black. i have a black 98 ford taurus and all the taurus's have that ugly brown tail light bar so i wanted to get rid of that. thanks.

my buddy blacked out his tail lights on his '03 VW GTI with a spray tint called NightShade. I think you can get it from most autoparts stores. the more coats, the darker obviously. He did like 9 coats so they are BLACK!! I don't think he has had any issues with it
