So this thread started about "off brands" to which I replied DC since all they do is copy designs...

I then received the ban hammer, and in the email that n8fag sent me, it said it isnt ok to bash DC on that forum.....wow, ****** DC cawk much SMD mods?

While I agree n8ball is the biggest **** ever... it doesn't make you cool to bash good companies jus sayin.

He said what just about everyone says about DC. They like to use others designs for their product.

Weather they work or not was not in question...just there practices.

With that said..most forums these days get touchy about any kind of "bashing" on companies.

But it was ok to bash other companies? Just not the company that he hugs? And while DC has good customer service, and the amps are solid, they are just rebadges and the subs are junk. Everytime we swapped from DC subs on our team we gained. And stopped blowing up subs. Soft parts are junk

Who exactly do they copy? aside from the Sundown cooling? If I'm not mistaken almost all companies copy each other these days.

Funny I never had a problem with my DC's sounds like user error.

Research is your friend here. I'm not going to bring this to a "bash" DC thread and post all of their designs and were they came from. Even the amps were "borrowed" though.

I don't have anything against them myself. Others may or do...but I'm just posting what has been said for a long time.

As for your comment about everyone copies each other..... Naw, I don't think that is always the case. That is the "cop-out" people use though.

Most of the m1 designs were old RE designs...and granted, we push subs to the limit but shouldnt quality subs handle that? I CLAMP 2.5x rated to my 169$ VVXs and I have ran them daily for almost a year now. No excuses for subs not being stout.

Funny because my Level 3's outperformed my boys Sundowns and lasted longer and these were the M1's and other than RE SE what other designs did they copy? I'm confused even if they did copy them DC's "cop-outs." were superior so who cares?

At one point or another every design has been copied or changed... Theres only so much uniqueness to a dang subwoofer.

Well we can start off the cooling from the nightshade is a botched version of the cooling off of the Fi Q. The designs are mostly all old RE designs that Scott Atwell (Fi/AA/Etc) designed when he was still with RE. David previously from RE but now of PSI then sold the designs to Rusty Of DC and that's where they come from. Since the patent laws in china are loose and our laws don't hold any value anyone with a CNC machine and a probe can copy anything without even knowing how it works or why it works.

Im louder on 2 skar 12s in a trunk then my teammate was on 2 lvl3 15s in an xcab s10. I dont even have much more power then he had. Teammate swapped xl's to mayhems and gained. And stopped blowing up subs. Another teammate had 4 xl m2 12s on a 9k and was smoking subs....so in our experiences, DC hasnt outperformed anything

Whether they copy or not is irrelevant if they make a good product at a decent price... People can say their soft parts **** but imo Fi's are worse and a few other companies. AQ, Fi the list goes on.
