Smallest ported box for Type X

Got my pdx 1000.1 today, hooked it up to my type X in a prefabbed 1 cube box (sealed) and it sounds pretty shitty. The sound is kinda punchy, and its not killing the low notes like I assumed it would. So, now im looking to build a new box. I dont have too much space (mazda 3 hatch) but im thinkin i wanna go ported unless I can get the sound I want with a slightly larger sealed box. What do you guys think? Any chance I could do like a ported box smaller than 1.5 cubes?

ported 1.5 cubes tuned to 32-36Hz and you will love it!! talk to spy, pioneer saturn and they will hook you up with a nice box.. when I had 2 type x's. I had them in a prefab box as well. got a box by SPY and they came to life!!!

Word. Any chance u could help me with designing a box? I'm pretty clueless about ported enclosures and I dont really wanna get a custom one made cuz Im short on cash after getting ur sub and my pdx

i dont know how to build boxes..lol. thats why I refered you to SPY or Pioneer Saturn. I say save up and get one done.

I know dumb a*s!! thats why I refered him to spy. I had the sub and know the size and tune the sub likes, I just dont know how to make boxes. how about you dont post anything unless you're trying to help the OP.

I didn't see your post. I was busy searching threads on how to build boxes for a type X.

Obviously you saw my post to reply to it. and some of the ppl on the show are from new york if you can watch and listen at the same time if thats not a big challenge for you. also, anyone who watches a reality show and actually think ppl act like that in real life is a retard. or to use your word a "moron"

Already read those threads. Pretty useless info for what im askin. All those threads are talking about boxes that are over 2 cubes. Im tryin to do a 1.5 cube ported box...
