Hey guys!

My old amp (Cadence ZRS7000D 1000rms @2ohm) got ruined, so I got a new one (Gladen SPL1800C1 1800rms @2ohm). The amp is connected to 2x12" Ground Zero subs thats good for 2000rms each.

I know that the amp is too small, but the old amp played better and louder than the new one. The Gladen amp is hooked up with a BMW 640Ah battery.

I havent adjusted my head unit to the new amp, but does it matter? I have tried to adjust the new amp, but even with the gain put to max, it doesnt play as loud as the cadence amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

check your settings.

DONT PUT GAIN TO MAX.

set it the right way.

check crossover settings.
BMW 640ah battery????
Sorry, 80Ah :p. 640A.

The battery has a BMW logo on it.

The LPF is set to 80hz on the amp. The subsonic is set to 30hz i believe. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

im talking your gain, dont set it up max. you need to set your amp with a dmm for the sub.

let say the sub takes 300rms. you need to set your amp for 300 or a little over depending on sub.

the gain is not volume for the amp.

you need to gain match your h/u to the amp.

if you dont you will send a bad clipped signal to your sub and it will heat up and blow.

Google how to set an amp with dmm.

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.

Pretty much. It's just a nice kit. A solo rite Scarlett 2i2, XLR mic and a loop back cable are my next purchases so I can get accurate phase...
