Small subwoofers

I have a porsche 911 which has limited space for speakers. I just had the profi vanadiums installed for my front stage in the dash.

There are 5.25 in. stock woofers installed in the doors in the doors, but they seem very boomy. Anyone have a suggestion as to what I should replace them with if I want to keep the stock appearance.

I don't think I want to compromise space by putting in a larger sub.

There is still a difference in woofers. Such as

Mid-woofers which play midbass frequencies and up.

Sub-woofers which play midbass frequency and down to sub frequencies.

Where is your highpass set at?

Are you using a aftermarket head unit and amp or stock head unit?

You have a great component set already. Problem could be the highpass is set too low maybe. List your gear and try to give us more details about your system.

Nice deck. Not sure if this headunit has a built in crossover though.

Replacing the amp like 6spcoupe recommended with 1 with a built in crossover will give you the ability to highpass and adjust the gain to where it sounds good to you.
