Carpet that box & deaden those doors! Other than that it looks pretty clean.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

But why exactly is this a SQ install //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Sq amps, Sq sub I would imagine.
X2 on deadening the doors. Would make a world of a difference.

Oh yeah and the phins ****!
Yea we would have but he ordered it about a week ago and it still hasnt arrived, and unfortunately him and my bro are heading back to SC today... I am very suprised with the SQ and out of the IDQ.....

it was all we could do to get what we did done, and I am not good at carpeting at all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

will get more pics up in a bit

btw...the last part hurts:crap:

eh.. i am not a huge fan of the speaker wire coming out of the port.. it is not very professional looking, or clean at all.. drill a hole and use some silicone or a cup terminal or something.. i also dont think i agree with mounting the amps directly to the seat backs.. a lot of times that plastic or fiberboard doesnt hold very well after some time

but i like the equipment... and commend the effort.. but next time.. take a little more time so u wont have to fix it later.. cuz frankly.. yer gonna have to fix that install down the road

negative, mounting to the seat back has never failed me. i have a setup going 10+years and never had a problem and never had to fix anything.

.... well, i would never mount anything to a seat back because

1) it is lazy

2)there is possibility for failure

3)it helps me sleep better at night knowing my amps are properly mounted to a solid structure------> a well built amp rack

hell.. even a piece of wood or metal mounted to the seat back via screws, bolts, welding.. i dont care..

i just think there needs to be more time dedicated to an install to be done right the first time than having to go back to it and fix it later because of a stupid lazy time-saving mistake.. i dont like having to run the possibility of my amps falling off my seat backs

i am happy u have had yer install for 10+ years attached to your seat backs.. i just dont like that idea

it's still screwed to the seat back.

i do understand what you're saying though.

i have my 120a2 on the back of my rear seat. but the part its mounted to it around 1/4" of plastic and i do not see that failing any time soon.

personally i dont see that being a problem either. much easier to adjust/tune your amps when all you have to do is fold the seats down. i agree there are much better places to put them or even build an amp rack with minimal effort. but again , i dont see it as a big problem at all.

not a bad install minus the lack of deadener..

it's still screwed to the seat back.
but with the added support it disperses the weight from the screws holding the amp to the seatback to the wood or metal support.. making for a more reliable mounting solution

kinda like laying down on ice rather than standing.. same structure, but weight more evenly distributed

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

anyways.... it just makes me feel better about the install
