i set the gain for my sub amp today and i have a small question. the volume i set it at was at 45/62. is 45/62 the highest i could turn it up without distortion or could i go higher?

also, i'm gonna install my cdt's next week when my amp gets here and i was wondering what hz i should tune them to and what test tone i should use for my comps?

thanks in advance:)

when your amp gets there and you install your cdts, run through the whole gain setting tutorial again as you won't be using headunit power anymore.

oh and if you read the gain setting tutorial, you'd kno what test tones to use. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

50hz 0db tone for sub

1000hz 0db tone for comps. also you can use a -3 tone to get closer to the amp's rms values musically but you run a better risk of clipping your amps.

yea i used the 50hz test tone for my sub but i was wondering if i could turn the volume higher than 45/62 without clipping?

1000hz 0db tone for comps. also you can use a -3 tone to get closer to the amp's rms values musically but you run a better risk of clipping your amps.
oops:D i forgot to check the second tutorial thread. thanks:)
