Small problem... checking outputs??

Okay, so I am trying to hook up my 9887 to run active, however I am having trouble. I don't think that the rear output (highs) works on the deck I just bought. I bought the deck new off of ebay, but when I switch to 3 way and set the crossover points, I get no sound from my tweets, only from my mids and subs. I have checked all channels and outputs/inputs on my amp (kicker zx650.4) and they all are working. Checked my wires and they are fine, RCA's are good. Basically, when I hook the passives back up, the speakers work, but it seems the sound comes more from the right side and not very much from the left anymore (since switching amps). BUt it still does play out of both sides. When I run active, sound only comes out of my mids. This makes me believe it's the output on the deck, but I'm not sure

Anyway that I can test it to see if it's broken, or do I need to send it to Alpine? Other problems it could be?
