Small Fused Disrto Block.

I need a pretty small fused distro block. I need it to be approximately 1 inch High. 3x4 inches width. or smaller..

I'm open to using different fuse types but would prefer to use

ATM Blade Type Automotive Fuse (Small Maxi Fuses)

Needs to hold fuses less than 15 amps. Would be nice to have 8awg or smaller input and will likely have 10awg or smaller output.

(this is for an HID project not audio)

Also it would be awesome to have power and ground in one block but I can use a seperate ground block if needed.

Something like this

Thanks in advance for helping me locate such an item.

JI.

Fuse block

this is what REQ posted a while ago. I use one and love it.

They could be cut to a smaller size if need be.

Thats pretty big / Open

I finaly found something

http://www.bluesea.com/product.asp?Product_Id=23629&d_Id=7463&l1=7463&l2=

It will be used on an ATV (Banshee) that I'm converting from AC to DC, floating the ground, adding a battery and I'm planning to mount this distro block on top of the batteyr holdermy friend welded up.

This looks like a good sealed block. It will be open to environment although somewhat protected under the seat.

Now I need a good lighted switches, I found some 16 amp switches which should be good if I turn the HID's on one at a time and a nice 20 amp master switch.

http://www.thinkgeek.com/pcmods/cables/6ca5/

(for each light, these willbe mouted in front of handlebars)

I will be using 4 30 watt MR16 HID's

http://www.thinkgeek.com/pcmods/cables/6c9d/

(located under seat next to Distro Block)

Now if I could find some similar switches that could handle more power I sould not have to worry about too much current draw from HID's...And I'm trying to avoid useing a relay due to having to mout it and this is an extreme offroad application.

What Size RED Wire is that in your pic? It looks like a good size to use for HID's...

Still no luck on a distro block that will fit well...I guess I will jsut have to buy an assload of inline fuses which will be MUCH harder to change out and find a location for...But I guess no one makes a small distro block..

Not sure what you mean?

Took some measurements.

Battery box is 3x4 inches..I wanna mount the fuse block on top of the battery

I found this one

http://www.bluesea.com/product.asp?Product_Id=30994&d_Id=7463&l1=7463&l2=

Perfect in every way other than having a ground block included.

they make the one I posted above with the ground block but it would be hanging over the batter holder so I don't think it would look as good. So I can go with this block with a ground, or locate the ground block under the batter box and the positive on top...

OR if ANYONE knows where to get a small fused distro block 3x4 inches with both please let me know!

Not sure why no1 makes a smaller one!

Here is a link to my work in progress I found a nice block (non fused) from Blue Seas...

I just ran an inline fuse from the battery to the primary switch. Should work fine this way.

This is a full Batery conversion, meaning voltage is rectified and bike charges the battery while driving. The battery box replaces the stock airbox...

Bike is still a kick start and I would have it no other way...

Let see if anyone can find my mistake...

Those are sweet, I think I'm going to pick one up.... I have alot of electronics in my supra so I could definatly use a distro block like that..... the only problem. where can you buy one? I cannot find a single 'buy' button on that site!

I got mine from Redden Marine Supply. Shipped pretty fast. Looks simple to make yourself also, but I'd personaly rather pay so it looks good and makes the install easy.

They also make a 10 screw version and also another version with waterproof cover (was too large for my application) Plus I figure I can use each screw hole for more than one cable.

I secured it to my custom battery box using #5 allen head screws and nylock nuts.
