Small footprint 4 /5Ch.?

Hi!

Looking to power 2 Diamond M55 Comps + 8" Eminence Sub (or looking for a shallow 10") on a '99 CRV. My constrains is that I only have a 15.5 X 8.5 space under the front seat. I could also fit a very thin (2" or under), slightly (16.5) larger amp by sliding it under the seat rails...

My local dealer has two RF that will fit: p400-4 & T400-4.

His installer prefers the Alpine PDX amps, but I am a bit concerned of using an amp with a lower damping factor (80 vs. >200 on the Rockfords) to also power a SUB.

He also carries xtant, kenwood & kicker.

I payed up 270 for a p400-4 on his advise but the same amp set up in Best Buy sounds much worse than my old amp, an old school Denon DCA 3500.

Are the RF any good? He is willing to exchange but does not take returns. Should I bite the bullet & pay up the extra $160 for the Alpine PDX (the MFR's are too wide & become visible, bad thing in downtown Portland). Alpine class D full range 4 channel, I just installed one in my wifes car, powering rainbows upfront and JL 10w3 in the rear, sounds pretty darn good., and it is pretty small

look for a small memphis belle.

does 75x4+600x1@1

there was one for sale on here a week ago for 300 shipped.

if its too tall, then look for some A\D\S\ power plates. can get em in 4 channel that do 90w\channel and they are shallow and small amps. great quality too.

Are you using the pdx 4.150 or the 4.100? How is the Midbass/bass?

I checked the Memphis Belle, man do I wish I had space to fit that sucker....only spot that big is in the tire well, where I plan to put my sub enclosure....how are the Memphis SClass ?

BTW A/D/S home audio is some of the best stuff I've heard...my L-710 matched to an old Scott Tube amp is what got me so darn picky with audio stuff...I'll start checking Ebay...
