Small fish tank?

Why just a small fish tank?

Now here's a tank that adds color to a room.

I had a small 5 gallon tank for the kids. Went to the local Pet "Smart" told them what tank I had, and they hooked me up with some fish that "could get along" Well, I took them home (ten of them I think) and complete chaos ensued in the tank. It was literally a last fish standing battle. I was like WTF!?! All said and done, my 5 year old daughter got the privledge of watching nature at its finest and battle of the fittest with just 1 lone fish remaining. And that little b@stard lived for 3 years after that!

Ive heard Betta's are fairly aggressive fishes. Thates why they are usually in their own bowls at the shops LOL..

Beats the discovery channel.

And yes betas are aggressive fish. They can be housed with certain types of other fish though. I remember walking in on my beta eating my guppy. I thought it was the coolest ****ing thing at 10 years old.

well , this will be my first fish tank , so i want to keep it VERY simple. i mean i do have a bearded dragon and im positive its much more work than keeping a single fish alive in a tank , but i still want to get the hang of it before i end up getting a huge asss tank and killing fish left and right...

I would maybe start out with a small community tank. ie. tetras, danios, gouramies, etc. A simpke 10 gallon with an undergravel tank is pretty foolproof.

i thought about it , but im trying to keep it cheap as possible and that kit seems to have everything for a resonable price. plus my fiance gets a discount at petsmart.
